I read the article you shared and sorry to hear that they use video lectures now. One of the points, there is a lot of room for improvement of the consistency in the lectures, is real, and I felt the same.
Maybe the reason I didn’t feel as disappointed as that student is that I took each course as an introduction, and it’s my responsibility to deep dive into the topics in which I’m interested. For example, it took me two weeks to digest the computer vision materials from one of the top researchers, which he might study for several decades. It’s unrealistic to expect to become an expert when you attend this short-term class.
